Is there any downtime?
Minimal downtime! After your microneedling treatment it will feel like a sunburn on your face, however the home-care products that you go home with will help dramatically in replenishing & re-hydrating the skin post microneedling. You will want to avoid the sun for the first 24 hours, avoid excessive sweating & exercise for a minimum of 48 hours. Please refrain from using active ingredients such as Retinoids, glycolic acid, salicylic acid or other forms of exfoliation for 4 days. You may experience mild dryness / flaking of the skin. Remember to wear, & re-apply your favourite physical sunscreen every 2-3 hours!

How many treatments will I need?
Considering by the time we turn 30 years old on average our skin looses 1% of collagen per year! With that being said, SkinPen is best performed 4-6 times per week at 4 week intervals.

Will I peel?
There’s a 50/50 chance, depending on many factors including the state of your skins health or where you are at in your skins cycle, you may or may not experience skin peeling. If you do, it is typically mild flaking only.

Does it hurt?
At the beginning of your treatment after your double cleanse, we will apply a 5% Lidocaine topical product to thoroughly numb the skin for about 30 minutes. The treatment is then not painful, and often is described as feeling like an electric toothbrush gliding across your face.
