Does it hurt?
Due to the Marine Algae Spicules that are massaged into the skin, this treatment is often referred to as “liquid microneedling” and it can be uncomfortable during as well as 24 hours post treatment as these spicules will begin to dissolve the layers of your skin.

What is the aftercare / downtime?
You will experience visible sheet peeling typically beginning around the 24-48 hour mark. This will continue until approximately 4-7 days. Avoid direct sun exposure until your peeling has completed. Avoid excessive sweating or exercise for a minimum of 72 hours. Day 1: Do not wash your face for 12 hours, Day 2: AM Wash your face with a gentle gel cleanser / Use home care gel Day 2: PM Wash your face with gentle gel cleanser only, Day 3 & onwards: Wash with gentle cleanser & use sunscreen during the day, at night cleanser only,
The dryer your skin is the better the peel, hydrating your skin will reduce the benefits of this peel. Do not peel or pick at any visible peeling, instead use eyebrow scissors to gently snip away any excessive skin peeling.

How many treatments will I need?
Most clients depending on many factors and the severity of your concerns will need approximately 5-7 Zena Algae peels, these are spaced 4 weeks apart.

Can this be done on the body?
Yes! It makes for an excellent treatment for acne or scarring anywhere on the body, aswell as any pigmentation or stretch marks.
